Terms and Conditions

• Minimum purchase is $5 (100 pixels, or 1 box).


• Maximum purchase is however many pixels are left.


• When you purchase pixels from OM Originals (LongviewKelso.com creators) you are paying for advertising. LongviewKelso.co is an advertising tool where you will submit an image and link which will then be published on the LocalPix page.


• You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the LocalPix page, which will be there for AT LEAST 3 YEARS!! Your link/image can only be changed if your site is permanently down, or any other major reason.


• Once your image and link are published on the LocalPix page, all sales are final.


• The site and homepage will be online for at least 3 years until January, 1st 2009. (With a hope of making 2016). (Just imagine your marketing capacity during this time! This is a great value for any size business!)


• No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted. If you submit an image or link that is later found to break this condition, you will be asked to provide an alternative, NO money will be refunded and the pixels will be sold to another party if you are unable to provide an alternative link/image.


• If at any time you change the content of the linked site you must notify LongviewKelso.com/OM Originals, so we are aware of the change and your new content does not violate our rules. No obscene/offensive/adult linked sites are allowed. If you violate this condition your image/link will be removed immediately and you will be contacted to provide an alternative link/image. You will not in any way receive a refund due to the link downtime.


• If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the LocalPix page, you will be allowed to do that, but you will not receive a refund and the pixels will become available for sale.


• Images are automatically resized to fit the pixels you order so you must ensure you are happy with the image before making your payment by 'Viewing' it on the LocalPix page first.


• Images must be in GIF or JPEG format.


• Animated images are not allowed on LongviewKelso.com, if you submit an animated image, either the first frame of the animation will be used or it will be removed totally and you will be contacted for a new image.


• All Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://


• You may link to your LongviewKelso.com listing if you do not have a web site.


• You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit, if you do not and we become aware of this your image/link will be removed and you will not receive a refund.


• All orders are processed automatically as soon as we receive confirmation from the payment processor of your payment, generally your image/link will be posted within a few minutes.


• We accept PayPal for LongviewKelso.com payments.

What is LongviewKelso.com: LocalPix?

You will see the main background image is made of 10,000 small blocks, each block is 10x10 pixels making a total of 1,000,000 pixels! That's a lot of pixels, eh?

You can purchase these blocks and place your own image/logo in them with a link to your site. Minimum purchase is one block, for just $5 a block equivalent to just $0.05 per pixel

Example Pixel Sizes:
(1 Block) 10x10 = 100 Pixels Cost: $5	(20 Blocks) 100x20 = 2000 Pixels Cost: $100
(100 Blocks) 200x50 = 10,000 Pixels Cost: $500
(200 Blocks) 250x80 = 20,000 Pixels Cost: $1000

Once a block has been ordered (ie before Paypal confirms payment) your blocks will be reserved for 24 hours, which allows for any delays there may be in them notifying the server of the payment. Once notification has been received (normally within seconds or minutes) your image/logo and link will be added permanently (during the 3 year period - see Terms page) to LongviewKelso.com.

Once your image/link has been permanently added no one else can place their image over yours.

LongviewKelso.com is automated, you size and position your image, view it on position and then pay via Paypal and your image and link is then permenantly added.

Who is OM Originals?

We are a web and graphic design company in Longview. We have offered creative designs since 1997.
In 2001, OM Originals introduced omTools, Web Sites Made (& Edited) Easy. omTools works just like a word processor - allowing clients to easily add information and update their own web sites.

Why Pixel Advertising?

After seeing Alex Tew's very creative "Million Dollar Homepage". we felt this could be a powerful way to increase web site traffic to local web sites. Read some testimontials from their site.

Why 5 cents?

If you want to pay more then please feel free:) You're right, 5 cents a pixel is not a lot compare to most other sites like this. We want to create an valuable resource for local businesses of any budget size. We also understand that if we sell each pixel at just 5 cents each, with a minimum purchase one block for $5 that there is a good income potential for us as well. :-)

You're joking right?

No, we are completely serious. We initially laughed at the idea when we heard it but then we found it was REALLY working. We have since seen lots of simular sites going online since. This could become the next 'mainstream' form of web advertising.

Why are you selling by the block?

A Pixel is far to small to consider trying to sell, you would never see the image and the link will never get clicked on. A Block is realistically the smallest size you could use.

Why should I buy your pixels?

What's in it for you? When you buy pixels here you are investing in a web site that could get a ton of traffic from links on other sites and exposure.

With your Pixel ad on the front page, that means a lot of traffic to your site. More traffic could mean more sales for you - if you are selling stuff on the net. You might simply want to buy Pixels for your loved ones, your pet, to spread a political message, share Jesus, etc. Anything is possible with 5 cent pixels!

In addition to your ad appearing on here, our parent site LongviewKelso.com display banners with randomly selected peices of the LocalPix Pages, giving even more exposure.

What kind of traffic will I get?

It is true that most of the clicks will be random, from visitors that are clicking on the images to see where they lead. This is not necessarily a bad thing, how often do people stumble across a site and think 'oh I was looking for that' or 'I need that doing' etc.

How long will it be before my image/advertisement is added?

The system is set up so as soon as it receives confirmation from Paypal that your payment has been made your image and link will be added so you should see it appear on LocalPix within minutes

Will you create my image/advertisement for me?

Certainly. For a small fee of $50 we will design and build a graphic for you. Whether you tell us exactly what you want, or let us be creative for you, the cost is the same. Only one graphic is created, and delivered to your specifications. Please contact us if wish for us to create you ad. Send an eMail to ads@longviewkelso.com.

Can I RESERVE some pixels today & add my image later?

Good questions.
Due to popular demand = The answer is now YES.
To ensure that you get your pixels, you can order them now, place the attached reserved file on LocalPix. When your image is ready, you can eMail it to us, or, we can design one for you at a one time fee of $50. (We will upload your image at no cost).

Here are the steps to RESERVE your LocalPix:

1. Save the "reserved" image to your desktop

2. From LocalPix, Click on the Grid where you want to reserve your pixels.
   
   
3. Click on the "Choose File" or "Browse" button. Select: reserved.gif
   
   
4. Choose the size of your ad. A green box will be displayed to show your ad.
   Note: you will see the cost displayed in the lower left hand corner of the window.
   • You can change the dimensions by using the pulldown width and height boxes
   • You can change the position by clicking anywhere else on the page, or using the pulldown positioning boxes (that is available)
     
     
5. Make your final decision & click "View it" to see where your add would be placed and what size it will be.
   
   
6. Add Link (put in your web site address) & Add Description Text (this will appear when people mouse-over your ad)
   
   
7. Click the box next to "I have read and accepted the terms and conditions". Please read them.
   
   
8. Click on the PayPal button to pay. Paypal allows anyone to pay via credit card. (You do not need a PayPal account).
   
   As soon as your payment is processed your pixels will be reserved!
   When you have your image ready, you can eMail it to us and we will upload it for you.

How long will the site be around for?

The domain name is currently registered for 3 years but we plan to keep the site running for a lot longer.
